Learn about the redistricting process and how you can participate.

Learn how to draw and propose a district boundary map electronically and on paper.

Every ten years, local governments use new census data to adjust their district lines to reflect how local populations have changed. This process, called redistricting, is important in ensuring that each Council Member represents about the same number of constituents. Redistricting is done using U.S. Census data, which is anticipated to be released in September 2021. For the City of Campbell, the redistricting process must be completed by April 17, 2022.

Your input is needed to adjust our voting districts for Council Members, and one way you can participate is by assisting the City in developing a list of “communities of interest” or “COI” that can be utilized in the process to adjust district lines. To learn more about how you can get involved, please visit

What You Can Do to Participate in the Process?

1. Provide comments on your community of interest by completing the COI Worksheet

2. Provide your comments on your community of interest by emailing

3. Attend one of the City's Public Hearings or Community Workshops. Watch the schedule for upcoming dates.

4. Stop by the City's informational table at the Campbell Farmer's Market and learn more about this process or draw a map of your community of interest.
