Mental Wellness Wednesday
This Wednesday we would like to encourage you all to take care of your mental wellness. The Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. Today they are teaching us about being mindful. These are great exercises for any age!
- Mindfulness means to pay attention, on purpose, to what is happening right now, without judging it or trying to change it.
- Mindfulness helps to build brain muscles so you can have better focus, attention, and self-control.
- Mindfulness also helps you to pay attention to how you feel, and it can help you to decide what to do with that feeling.
- Just like anything new, the more you practice, the easier it gets!
